War has been used to settle differences between tribes, states, and countries since man was first able to throw a rock. Some assume
that discussion and table meetings can solve all differences, rather than war, and therefore prevent bloodshed. In fact, this is often
not true. Hitler, as it turns out, could not have been stopped at the table. Nor Hussein. Nor can the tens of thousands (if
not millions) of known radical Muslims be stopped in their war against the West. The only solution to this problem is warfare.
If we don't take the war to the homeland of the aggressor Muslims, they will (and already have) bring the war here to America. What
the peaceniks don't want to acknowledge is that these Muslim only want us dead. They want us not to breathe any more; not to exist,
get it? They feel it is their God given duty to wipe out every faith but Islam and have so stated. Why the peaceniks won't believe
what the terrorists say they are going to do, and actually do (9/11 was but one recent example) exhibits astoudingly profound ignorance.
To hand wring and boo hoo about the deaths of a handful of American soldiers, all of whom volunteered for military service (rememeber
that we have an all-volunteer military) is absurd. Yes, 3000, 5000, even 10,000 over years is but a handful to lose in a war.
Every American generation (let's call that 30 years, just to give it a number) has seen at least one, if not two...or even 5 for that
matter, major conflicts, some of the bloodiest of which occurred on our own soil. In fact, there are more murders in California each
year than soldiers killed in most of those wars, and nearly 4 times more murders in California alone (11903) since 9/11 .

There are also those pitiful isolationists who feel that we have no business being the "police" force for the world. This is not only
wrong, but absolutely, seriously wrong. Someone has to do it, and who best but the strongest, richest, most technologically advanced
country on earth? What with the Internet and High-speed jet travel, this little ball we are all standing on is far too small and
someone has to step up to the plate and see that human rights are the same everywhere. Those who think otherwise must get their heads
out of the sand. Everywhere on earth is right in our own back yard. Every offense that occurs in Iraq, for example, is tantamount to
the same thing happening to our next door neighbor, and THAT simply cannot be tolerated in a modern world.
